Spent the first half of the day going through a bunch of stuff. I had most of my San Francisco belongings sent to Seattle when we moved out two and a half years ago. Mostly some kitchen stuff, a couple pieces of furniture, and a bunch of clothes. Today, I tackled a giant suitcase.
I’ve owned so little in the last two years it’s crazy to see how much stuff I still have. I don’t want to say I Marie Kondo’ed my stuff but I kinda did.
I took a long hard look at everything and decided what I wanted to keep. I’ve definitely gotten better at being selective —especially given the pack rats in my family. I put aside a few sweaters, a couple pairs of shoes, and a few knick knacks.
I have a big bag that will go to Goodwill. That feels good. The rest, a bunch of tech t-shirts from back in our intern days. I don’t want to get rid of them all but I also know I won’t be wearing them. What I’m planning on doing is making a t-shirt quilt out of them. It’ll be super cute and sentimental too!
What a productive day.
