After listening to various definitions of luck through the years, I am very curious about luck.

Apparently, optimistic people are lucky because they expect to be. This is similar to the placebo effect, affirmations, visualization and similar mindset theories.

After @jasonleow started to write the summaries to the book on Luck that he was reading, I got tempted to skip the books that were waiting for their turn and start reading the book

I am only on chapter 6 of the book but I love it already. It is confirming my already biased opinion that my luck is up to me.

I suggested doing a luck experiment in a comment of Jason's writing. I think I have read enough to attempt one of those.

Here are the details:

Goal - To manufacture luck

Success - If there are considerably more "lucky" events on a given day than usual.

Time frame - 24 hours.

Being aware of people and my surroundings.

Attending more networking events, listening and talking about things that I am working on.

Telling people I am doing this experiment

Helping other people become more lucky

Writing down what worked and what didn't for round 2.

I shall post my results here.

@keni oh nice! Glad you're going ahead! So looking forward to hearing the results. It's one of the more exciting books that I read recently, definitely going to apply it in daily life.

@jasonleow - I agree... the concept is exciting. I am still reading the book on I keep hearing being open and paying attention to surrounding, networking and being optimistic coming up a few times.
Please write any experience with applying this in daily life.

@brianball - Exactly what I have under METHOD in the post. However, if you wait until I apply it, I may write on the most effective way of being lucky.
I recommend reading the book too.
Lets crack the code on lucky together.
