I'm going to follow the writing prompt of the week: Letter to my younger self. I turned 30 two weeks ago, so it's time to talk to my 20-year-old self about what I've learned in the past decade.

Don't waste time and money on useless stuff

I want you to really think about what is important to you. What do you want out of life? Find your priorities, invest everything in those and forget about the rest.

It's ok to be alone sometimes

Don't freak out if your friends don't have time for you one weekend. Make plans for yourself. Use the time to learn something new and explore something you've always put off.

Start saving money

Invest in low-cost index funds. Now!

Establish a sustainable workout routine

Ok, now you've tried the gym, yoga, pilates, CrossFit, running, bouldering, HIIT, and pole dancing. It's time to stick with a routine for the long run. That's how you'll really get better at it.

Think things through

The decisions you'll make right now will impact your entire life. Coming back to point one, what do you want out of life? Will your current path take you there? Don't do something just because everybody else seems to be doing it. It's about what's best for you.

    @juliasaxena Thanks for sharing.

    I loved reading this. There seems to be a recurring theme of "doing things for the long term" - Don't waste time and money on useless stuff, Start saving money, Think things through.
