"I think I know you."
"What do you mean?"
"You feel like someone I know really well."
We were walking to Wilburn Hall. We had thought about spending the night at the house but we didn't. I didn't need to make a big fuss about it or anything, in fact I would've been open to staying if Moriah wanted to. But it was like she knew. She knew and she chose for us to do what I wanted.
"I think I know what you mean." I replied.
"Ha. If you're saying that then you probably don't."
The streets were silent, which made the rare little noise stick out. The random guy who was still yelling into the air about beer or pizza or doing something dangerous. It was late enough that it was getting to be early.
"Thanks for inviting me."
"I really like your friends."
When we arrived at Wilburn, I was surprised to see that the front door was still locked and guarded. Right around 10 PM was when Shook University employed some sorry soul to sit at the door and scan people in. During regular hours, the doors were open and free to anyone to walk in and out.
I had no idea when they stopped guarding the door, but that night I learned that even at 5 AM they guarded it.
