I have always been drawn to humorous people. My brother is one such person. He can make me crack up in laughter without even trying.
I am publicly admitting that I would like to be funny. A funny person can break the ice in no-time, can earn trust faster than most, can capture people's attention and deliver the most powerful message with ease. I am sure it is an evolutionary competitive advantage to be funny.
So it is officially on my to-do list.
People usually don't understand my jokes. I am sure George Carlin was misunderstood too.
I wonder - Is sense of humor a natural skill? Or is it learnt - like writing is?

This video suggests that our brains work in osmosis. The neuroscientist explains that the easiest way to develop a skill is by being around people with that skill. So to be humors, spend time being around funny people.
So I have started looking for people with these skills:
1) George Carlin like killer wit
2) Seth Godin type of writing and presentation skills
3) Gordon Ramsay's cooking skills
I will post on my progress.
