You have a goal. Like a certain level in your career that you want to reach. Or a business you want to build. How do you get there?

Do you try to figure it out in isolation and feel frustrated because you aren't making progress? Do you get confused about the best tactics and practices?

Hell no! You look for people who have what you want and learn from them!

It's that easy. The internet comes in pretty handy here. Almost everybody who has achieved some kind of success nowadays has a website, a blog, an email address, a Twitter account, a Facebook page, and so on.

Let's go through this step by step:

Step 1: Be clear about what you want to achieve.

Step 2: Identify a few people who have achieved exactly that.

Step 3: Get specific about what you are struggling with at this very moment.

Step 4: Contact the people and ask your specific questions. Don't bore them with generic questions that you could have answered through five minutes on Google.

Step 5: Follow up with them if they don't answer right away until you have your response.

Step 6: Implement their advice and tell them about your results.

Now repeat from step 3 onwards again until you've reached your final goal.
