My cousin watches a lot of Homicide documentaries.
Last night, I joined her halfway through an episode.
The story went like.
The girlfriend moves into her boyfriend's house. With her daughter and one sibling. In the early days it felt like they were really in love. Then the sibling of the girlfriend started to notice some red flags. The boyfriend would sneak into the ladies room when they are away and searched through their belongings. Then some outbursts of anger.
I'm not very good at stories. But it ended that on one afternoon, the guy shot the girlfriend, shot his own daughter, shot at the girlfriend's daughter and sibling.
Only the sibling survived, the bullet hit her on the arm and came out the other way. She was the narrator. Their father was alive.
I hope you got the story.
But I was very shocked, knowing this isn't a movie. I can only imagine the weight of sorrow on the Father who lost his daughter and granddaughter in one day.
Then I remembered I still see folks (mostly westerners) on social media joke or talk about moving in with someone they hardly know, who can't be traced.
And I'm like ...
Don't you guys learn!!!
