it's the fourth one

our fourth living space in France in four and a half years

counting homelike ones, as there were others, much more temporary

so there was this breathtaking vast place in the Haussmannian building, with a balcony along the whole flat overhanging the narrow canyon like street, which was exploding with deafening noice with each passing motorbike...

huge windows, wooden floors, wide glass doors (not) separating the spacious rooms, big kitchen with six burner stove (saw these before only in the movies), gorgeous bathroom with pale blue tiles and breathtaking vintage bath tab...

THESE were the times...

then, after Berlin and a couple of completely temporary places, there was a little flat (sort of) in Belleville, in a modern, maybe from 70., building... concrete walls, metal door frames, windows with ambitions more towards a square, low ceiling... it felt a bit like 70. housing that I know... yet, even with somebody else's books on the shelfs, felt rather homey...

and Nogent, weird combination of bourgeoisie suburbs and mercilessly ageing little town... medium size flat, comfortable, well equipped, full of light; golden mirror frames and sort of Louis de 16. chairs giving a bit weird feel... it was our place for the longest yet, it never really felt like home... did it?

and now we are here...

@lucjah I've been in the same North Texas house for nine years now. Moving around Europe with some frequency sounds exotic and exciting right now. :)
