Pete looked at him and laughed. "Sheesh Jerry, you look like you saw a ghost or something."
Jerry scanned the group and tried to catch his breath. "There...there was someone else in there."
The group took turns looking at each other. "Woah, did you get in trouble?"
"No, he was nice. Some old man." Jerry thought for a second. "Just really freaked me out ya know?"
Everyone nodded in agreement and a few of the boys looked back at the graveyard. Pete spoke up again. "Hey, it's late, I gotta get home."
"Oh crap, me too!"
Everyone started to walk back to the corner when it finally occurred to Jerry to ask about his time. "Wait, did I win?"
Cooper stopped and looked back him. "Yeah, you won. Twelve minutes and something." He started walking again. "Don't rub it in."
Jerry smiled in triumph. That might have been one heck of a scare but now he felt like it had totally been worth it. Cooper was definitely gonna hear about, but first he really needed to catch his breath...
Author's note: If you read all five parts thank you for being part of the experiment! This was all "seat of the pants" with very little editing and I had no idea how I was going to wrap it up by Friday but it was fun.
