For the past couple of months, I've been so busy with work and life my time dedicated to my personal projects kept shrinking. At first, I managed to get a couple of tasks done each day but as my job got more demanding I had to take a break to not go crazy. Sometimes you get to a point where you don't even want to see a screen or type anymore.
Now it's gotten easier and I'm back home with more time to get stuff done. It also gives me some time to re-evaluate my specific goals for the rest of the year.
I've written a lot this year and my aim is to just keep this going. I launched my own blog and it's been great to have a place to collect all my thoughts and share it with others. Traffic wise it's not doing well but that's not the focus for me at the moment. My aim is to document my thoughts and find the topics I'm really passionate about. Hopefully, through this, I can find something that really speaks to me.
I've neglected this project for a long time but it still gets a steady stream of traffic and has started attracting advertisers. In the next few weeks, I want to spend some time improving the site and finding a way to grow the traffic which has remained flat for a long time.
I launched the Wave Radio beta a couple of months ago and it got a few signups and me along with some friends kept using it. But since I took a break I've let it just sit there. I'm not sure what the next step should be here. Maybe just launch it and see what happens? But I'm hesitant to do so if it's just not ready yet. This will take some more time to decide.
This plan is pretty rough but I'm going to keep refining it for each project this week and work on building some momentum up. Maybe a break was just what I needed.
