Flow state in a box

A few days ago, I listened to a new music. The beats were just perfect

I usually need the first few minutes to know if I like a new music. I was in love. And it just so happens, I was getting ready to write one post for 200wordsaday.com.

So I put the music on repeat, got my noise cancelling headphones and got typing.

5 minutes and the first draft was done.

Another minute and I changed the uninteresting words for the ones with an oomph.

Another minute and the post was a perfect 200 words.

Total 7 minutes, the post was published.

As I recently admitted to a fellow #TeamStreaker - I am addicted to the red notification on this site. But for this post, I was proud of it regardless.
Since then, I have been trying to replicate that effect. I want to get to that state deliberately. Is it music, the right type of tea, the chair I sit on, the title I pick or is it something that I can manufacture myself?

I think whoever can summon his/her flow even for a little bit of time a day, can do great things.

Business idea - Flow state in a box.

I've recently installed an browser extension that prevents me from getting this addiction. I know what you mean though. When I use this website on my phone, I don't have that extension and I get primed by the red.

btw i feel like flow is so personal.

most businesses aim to find universal things you can just scale and make a lot of money off of without being in direct contact with end consumre.

in this case, wouldn't it not be so 'in a box' ? I feel like people pay others a lot of money for one-on-one flow coahcing... or group classes where they aim to be trained to get themselves into flow better.

but to box flow I feel is unfeasible

@abrahamKim - I think there actually is a hormone that is released.

@abrahamKim - You could be right about a box.... My goal is to identify the MVP - (minimum viable product) ... something that can help most people get to the flow state. Like I suggested to Brandon - if you remember the movie limitless, after the guy takes NZT - that is the state I am talking about. If there is a way - either by external stimulation or internal adjustment or NZT (safe) - that can get people to the flow - that is the holy grail of a business product.

      I do remember it

and I think it unwise to refine just the 'active ingredient' and selling it. That's how drugs and sugar addictions become ubiquitous.

@keni I need to give some serious thought to this concept of "on-demand" flow. I think music can certainly play a role. It is good advice to notice when these states happen to gather more data.

@brandonwilson - Absolutely. Think NZT effect in limitless :)

@keni Haha, if only we could box it. I can say the music would be a very strong factor. But it would be hard to predict the others. Just keep experimenting and pay attention. We will be here to be your customer for the product flow state in a box or flow state as a service. lol
