It's a tad funny that today's productivity prompt (part of a 30-day productivity challenge) is titled: "Drop the ball", where I encouraged participants in the challenge to sometimes reset their commitments if they're struggling to keep up with unrealistic expectations of themselves.
Sometimes you deal with too many tight deadlines or a crazy schedule that it often makes sense to re-schedule some of these commitments rather than powering through. And without realizing, I dropped the ball on my writing streak on this site. It kinda sucks, but I'll be back daily.
Dropping the ball isn't about giving up. It's about recalibrating. For the past few weeks I've been struggling to maintain a proper schedule. That's because I'm fasting during the month of Ramadan, and I usually shift my day to later hours (sleeping in the early hours of the morning and waking up in the afternoon) so I don't have to be awake for many fasting hours.
But this kind of throws me off because my sleep gets messed up and I can't properly delineate my working hours.
Hopefully things will go back to normal in a few days and I can live by a healthier schedule.
Back to square one. See you #TeamStreak in 30 days.
