"...art, and nature can all help you learn more about the fundamentals of what you are doing and why you do it"
Weirdly started off the New Years by going with my wife to the Christian Dior exhibit.
Haute couture, something I knew absolutely nothing, is actually pretty interesting. A lot of the designs for the clothing is inspired from different aspects of life. One might say "duh", but it's weirdly satisfying to see a dress that is subtly shaped like a flower while actually being article of clothing you could wear, is form fitting, and looks damn good. Not only that, but the Directors of the "House" usually all had a passion for gardening which I found interesting.
Hot damn though I wouldn't pay $6500 for a suit then wear it out in public without ensuring that I would be safe from all the elements.
Learning about that form of art was a bit inspiring. I'm looking forward to taking some of the teachings you can gather from these sort of experiences and apply it to my own craft. I feel as though history, art, and nature can all help you learn more about the fundamentals of what you are doing and why you do it.
These are just my thoughts for today and I wanted to try out my first post.
