How do you balance work-life and personal-life?
I don’t think we’re great at this. A lot of the time we find that work and personal life blend together. We live together and we work together. Especially at an early-stage company like ours, it's hard not to talk about work.
We wake up and right off the bat we’re into work with our team meeting. As a remote team, living in different time zones, we sometimes work less ideal hours.
It's changed a bit over time. We used to work every day and through the nights. We're now at a point where we take weekends and call it before dinnertime.
I think if we had a home base, things would be a little different. There would be more space to develop hobbies and relationships. But because we’re currently moving around a lot, there isn't usually time to lay down roots. We end up seeing each other basically 24/7.
Is this a bad thing? No, I don’t think so. It really depends what works for you. Andrew and I can spend a lot of time together and not drive each other crazy. And if it gets to be suffocating, we’ll work on it. So, maybe we are great at this and our ideal balance is just not 50/50.
