cold statistics (from the heart): 232 OnePosters, 3 live streaks, 3 Patrons...

Current day streak: 15🔥
Total posts: 291💌
Total words: 79696 (318 pages 📄)

Our struggle with the Couches and my almost constant work on @OneposterGems resulted in obsessive thinking about "How to keep the Newbies on 200WaD".

(Not sure if "1 apple a day keeps a Newbie on 200 Words a Day".)

And so today I decided to jump into the abyss of "statistics".

I stood in front of the Fellowship wall, wondering, how can I easily solve all the problems playing with numbers, while lacking even basic tools.

And then, I took a little notebook and a pen and... started (with help of my fingers and counting aloud) doing... them statistics!

And, as for today there are:

232 OnePosters(**), among them 3 live streaks and 3 Patrons

82 TwoPosters, corresponding numbers 0 and 2

46 ThreePosters, 0, 0

29 FourPosters, 0, 1

21 Five posters, 1, 0

Making it more clear and expanding further, number of people who published:

  • 1-5 posts: 410 people, 4 streaks alive, 6 Patrons
  • 6-20 posts: 87 people, 5 streaks alive, 12 Patrons.
  • 21-50 posts: 44 people, 10 streaks alive, 14 Patrons.

Creating just 2 clear groups:

  • 1-50 posts: 541 people, 19(*) streaks alive, 32 Patrons
  • 50-110 posts: 38 people; 28(*) streaks alive, 18 Patrons

So, @basilesamel, that is your raw data for today!

(*) Of course there are quite a few active members, writing regular posts, who today are enjoying a Streak Break, so the number 47 is NOT a total number of people publishing on weekly/monthly basis, but it is quite close to the number of posts being published daily, recently it is about 50-55.

(**) Up till tomorrow (scheduled posts :) I managed to publish 26 @OnePosterGems, hence 206 to go...)

a few days ago @timsubiaco wrote (it's really thoughtful, at least we know what happened) that this was his last post... he is gone :-/

@lucjah @efran Feeling like Luke 15:24 over here. Also didn't think I'd end up spending so much time replying to comments but it's a great way to catch up again.

Omg @gabrielgreco SO HAPPY YOU ARE BACK!
I was losing hope... like "terminally"

WHERE WERE YOU? Kinda "The Moon" MAYBE would be some sort of explanation!

@lucjah Great job! While we're at it, it's time to update this open data page, whenever you have time for it @basilesamel. At the very least, it requires a change in the naming of the graphs. "Total subscribers per day" or "Total posts per day" seems wrong indeed, for instance. It looks like the graph displays a compound number rather than the daily number--isn't it? ;)

    @basilesamel @zyumbik
Going back to the exchange we had here
    https://200wordsaday.com/words/oneposters-oneposter-103045c7197b0d446b
    where you @zyumbik wrote
<<yeah that's really cool! Please, keep doing this! It would be even cooler if your research will help us find a solution to the problem of one-time posters. How can we motivate people to continue? I would love to see the statistics graph of how many people posted how many posts. How much more there are of one-posters relative to two-posters? And ten-posters? And when does the graph fall heavily? At what day do most people drop writing? First, second? how about that?>>
here we are, hopefully starting some... thing...
