I’ve been an Evernote user for more than 9 years, but today I decided to shut it down.

But my closing down of the account comes with a lot of frustration I had with their customer services team.

See, last month I was locked out of my Evernote account. I had been not using Evernote for a long time especially after new competitors like notion sprang up and had better customer services.

I’ve switched to Notion and while I was falling in love with it - I forgot to update my Evernote account - that’s how you can forget about the services you’re no longer using when you have better alternatives around.

So, I reached out to their representatives on how they can resolve my issue of being locked out of my account.

First, someone reached out to me on the forum with a message that my issue will be resolved - yes, he did but every time he reaches out to me, he collects enough information about the problem and then goes radio silent - and if I do a follow-up - nothing, no reply.

Pretty much everything you think about Evernote, I would have never thought they would reach at this point - where the customer doesn’t matter anymore - at least in my own experience.

As I am ageing out, I choose my battles wisely and this one with Evernote is not worth me spending more time in it. They can go to hell!

@chacha I'm planning to switch over to Notion soon, they are a little cheaper and they have markdown support. A thing Evernote themselves never achieved.

@chacha thanks for heads-up, I just export my notes from Evernote to notion now.
