And for single people - a special treat.
Last Thursday, I noticed many flower delivery vans hustling in the streets.
The best day for flowers.
The worst day for people who procrastinate.
I am not a fan.
Or Valentine's day.
Flowers do nothing for me. They die.
Also, no dopamine.
Now with chocolate - my brain lights up and neurotransmitters are on overdrive.
It feels like Valentine's day is a warning for people in relationships that something amazing better happen.
And if it doesn't?
Social media will trigger you to reassess your relationship.
Constant reminder on all forms of media outlets reminding them what they don't have. Love. And eternal happiness.
FOMO is getting beat to death by every marketing agency.
So here's my proposal:
Let's change Feb 14 to Chocolate day.
A holiday reserved for gifting, sharing and eating chocolates with friends and family.
One requisite - People will have to eat the chocolates in the presence of other people. Never alone.
So Feb 14th would be about the company of people, loads of chocolate with a side of dopamine.
Who's with me?
