"[W]e have unlearnt how to produce content. We are masters of consuming content."
How much are 200 words a day? Just to get it into perspective:
* The german Grundgesetz consists of 20.319 words (so about 1%)
* The Schlachter 2000 Übersetzung bible consists of 738.765 words (roughly 0,03%)
So two hundred words are relatively few words compared to these numbers. But why is it so difficult to write them?
I think one of the problems is that we have unlearnt how to produce content. We are masters of consuming content. The internet feeds us a constant stream of content which we can consume easily. This content consists mostly of little fragments, produced by dozens of people. At least i have become creatively lazy as a product of this. So this 200 words a day challenge might be a good start to regain my creativity. To stop feeding on the content of others and start producing content myself.
200 words a day are not a lot of words. But for me 200 words are a lot to write. I have to start from the ground up. So there might be missed days, crappy writings, language mistakes (english is not my first language), my content might be boring, i might even write some posts in german. But i will regain my creativity. 200 words a day.
