Yesterday marked exactly 100 days of writing every day.
And exactly 20,000 words written.
I didn't set out with a specific goal.
But after the first 7 days, I liked the habit.
After 30, I knew I had to keep going.
At 100 days, I am declaring myself a "Writer" .
What I noticed is that the more time I put in a post, the better it becomes. The ones where I took my time to edit meticulously, remove all the unnecessary words and the pointless phrases, the clearer the message. Of all my posts so far, I am most proud of the ones where I am vulnerable.
When thinking about why this habit stuck unlike the many I have tried, I have to agree with this post by Gabriel and the reply by Abraham, this site is more about the community. It is because of the powerful connections I made here with a tribe of determined and fascinating bunch.
The more we write, the more we reveal ourselves... to other people as well us ourselves.
And more importantly, when we make the time and effort to listen to others, it is communication at its purest form.
As a side effect of this - we become better writers.
