There is huge power in just talking about what is troubling you. If it is your partner spouse or girlfriend, you can work the issue in question together. The same happens with business partners, stakeholders, investors and even your parents. It can also be very good to talk about problems with someone external to the problem itself: talk business issues with your dad or talk relationships problems with your therapist. In any case, putting out verbally what is on your mind changes your perspective: it puts you outside of the problem, therefore, you can see it from far away and it looks smaller. You can shape it, name it, grab it and eventually solve it.
